A Brake & Lamp Inspection is required in California to ensure that any vehicle being issued a salvage certificate – car, truck, van, heavy-duty, RV, or motorcycle – is in safe, roadworthy condition before being retitled.
As a licensed state inspection station, we conduct a thorough and complete examination of your vehicle’s brakes and lamps. Should your brake or lamps be damaged or misaligned due to an accident, theft, or other defect, our DMV certified inspection and repair station is equipped to restore you brake and lamps to factory standards.
The DMV also requires an Official Brake & Lamp Inspection on most vehicles brought in from out of state, vehicles not registered in the past 5 years, or to correct a defect cited by a local or state law enforcement agency.
Once your Brake & Lamp Inspection is successfully completed, we will issue a certificate for you to present to the DMV or California Highway Patrol as proof of correction of any defect, and as proof of the safety of the vehicle.
